We offer our expertise and services to; architects, building contractors, construction companies, engineers, property developers and quantity surveyors involved in commercial and residential projects within Cape Town and the Western Cape.
All the surveying and mapping services we have to offer, as well as our fees and rates are readily available to you on our website and by request.
We provide a comprehensive range of surveying and mapping services - each service can be personalised to your budget, scope of works or project specific requirements.
We provide estimates and quotations by means of an online GIS investigation - requesting an estimate, a quotation or our rates only takes a moment of your time.
All of our projects are approached systematically and carried out methodically, preventing any costly or timely errors and unnecessary rework.
Step 1: GIS Investigation
A GIS investigation allows us to gain valuable insight into the topography and cadastral elements of the site.
Step 2: Data Acquisition
Procuring cadastral and National Control Survey System data is a fundamental aspect to every project.
Step 3: Survey Calculations
Initial calculations are required if the original survey is on a local system or on the older Cape Datum.
Step 4: Co-ordinate Lists
Co-ordinate lists are then prepared, and our survey equipment configured for the project.
Step 5: Fieldwork
We carry out various tasks when out in the field, such as surveying of control points, setting out etc.
Step 6: Post-processing and Reporting
We systematically do our adjustments, reductions, verifications and prepare a report on the survey.
Step 7: Drafting in CAD Software
We meticulously draft and check our topographical model using our final field measurement values.
Step 8: Finished Deliverable
The final step in the process, preparing the plan in an easy-to-read digital format, such as in PDF.
All the equipment and software that we own and use, are genuine products, fully licensed, constantly kept up to date, well maintained and always in good adjustment.
AutoCAD
We use AutoCAD to view DWG drawings on all of our devices.
Whether we are out in the field, at the office or collaborating with our clients - this is our preferred DWG file viewing app.
Excel
We use Excel exclusively to manage and archive our co-ordinate data sets.
Our co-ordinate lists are prepared and saved in ASCII format as point name, easting, northing, elevation and code - then saved as CSV files.
OneDrive
We use OneDrive to keep all of our project files safe, secure and on demand.
Using cloud storage allows us to seamlessly access, edit, save, share and view our project files anywhere, at any time and across all of our devices.
WhatsApp Business
We use WhatsApp Business to keep our clients informed and up to date.
Whether it is about our company, keeping our clients updated on progress, as well as responding to any questions or queries promptly and efficiently.
With a diverse range of mini-PCs and high specification tablets, Chuwi ticked all the right boxes.
We use the Chuwi Larkbox X 2023 mini-PC for everyday office works - having a small footprint, being extremely quiet and boasting a whole range of connectivity options, the choice was simple.
For out of office computing, the Chuwi Ubook X 2023 is the perfect solution for on-the-go office work.
We choose Chuwi for their intuitive designs and functionality.
With advancements in GNSS survey instrument technologies, we use the South Galaxy G2 GNSS RTK base and rover set on most of our projects due to its versatility.
The South S1 external UHF radio provides RTK corrections when baselines over 6km are required for any specific project.
The South H6 rugged controller takes care of the project configuration and parameters, data capture and all other GNSS survey related functions.
When high accuracy and precision is required or when GNSS instruments are not suitable, we use the South N40 2" total station with reflector-less capabilities and the South TPS21 prism system.
For precise levelling applications, we use the South DL-202 digital level, which provides a height accuracy of 1.5mm (standard deviation for 1km double-run levelling).
We choose South for their affordability and innovative quality products.
We use Survey Maker for all of our adjustments, reductions and survey calculations.
We use Model Maker for all of our CAD design, engineering and topographical plans.
We use Point Cloud Viewer to extract DTM point data from point cloud data sets and for the geo-referencing of 3D laser scans and point clouds.
We choose Model Maker Systems for their excellent fixed annual support subscription and continuous updates.
We are continually innovating on our services delivery and improving our deliverables, exciting updates and milestones can be found here.
